Dr. Pommy Hallen DMD, FRCD(C)
Dr. Pommy Hallen received his Bachelors of Science at the University of British Columbia in Microbiology in 1996. Following his graduation from the University of British Columbia School of Dentistry in 2002, Dr. Hallen spent close to two years in Kamloops as an associate. He then practiced dentistry at his private practice in Langley for five years, where he developed a passion for endodontics. During these years, Dr. Hallen was active as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the UBC Dental School teaching students clinical endodontics. His desire to seek specialty training in endodontics lead him to Los Angeles to the University of Southern California.
He received his certificate in advanced endodontics from USC. At USC, Dr. Hallen honed his clinical skills in all aspects of advanced endodontic treatment and endodontic microsurgery using the surgical operating microscope.
Dr. Hallen is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, BC Dental Association and also the Canadian Dental Association. He lives in Langley with his wife and four beautiful daughters. He looks forward to serving your endodontic needs and helping you maintain your teeth for life.
Dr. Michael Sha DMD, FRCD(C)
I am excited to announce the opening of Ridge Meadows Endodontics with Dr. Pommy Hallen. I graduated from UBC Dentistry in 2007 and went on to complete my Endodontic specialty training from Temple University in 2010. I have been practicing full time as an Endodontic Specialist in Abbotsford for the last two years.
As a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Certified Endodontic Specialist in B.C. and Canada, I will guarantee unsurpassed quality of care for your patients. With adoption of the most current technologies and tools in the endodontic field, our office makes endodontic treatment for your patient comfortable and efficient. I am very excited to be serving the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows community and looking forward to a part of your treatment team.
Dr. Zhejun Wang
Dr. Wang graduated from the endodontic graduate residence program at the University of British Columbia (UBC), receiving a Master of Science in Endodontics, and a fellowship in the Royal College of Dentists of Canada as a certified specialist in Endodontics. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr. Wang has been presented by the dean of UBC Dentistry with multiple awards, including Joseph Tonzetich Fellowship and George S Beagrie Scholarship. Dr. Wang was also the first ever recipient of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) STAR Network Academy Fellowship.
He is involved in teaching dental students at UBC and he has been awarded for the Graduate student teaching award. He has over 50 publications on different peer-reviewed dental journals including the official journal of the American Association of Endodontists (Journal of Endodontics).
Dr. Wang is fluent in both English and Mandarin, and he enjoys playing sports and meeting people from different cultures.
